Most financial planners accept clients with a minimum of $100,000 investable dollars to put under management. Some will accept $50,000 or lower, but $100,000 is a good benchmark.

There is a bit of difference between RBC Wealth Management and Dominion, I went with Dominion because of the person I would have as an advisor. My advisor doesn't have me in anything bank and has never even talked about anything from RBC or any other bank.

Current experience with RBC Direct & RBC Wealth Management??
RBC Wealth Management or PH&N may be options down the road. As a result, one thought is to first move our investment accounts from BMOIL to RBCDI and then perhaps have their Wealth management people handle part so we can see if we are happy with them. We do have bank accounts with both BMO & RBC.
